Patrick began his career as a classical pianist and vocal coach before transitioning to the social justice sector through volunteering. He joined First Step as a volunteer in 2005 and became CEO in 2017. Between 2007 and 2017, he worked in a variety of roles at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, finishing as Director of Humanitarian Services. Patrick brings a deep commitment to holistic support for people experiencing complex challenges.
